Suggestions for the mom of a chatterbox
Lately Grace has been talking up a storm, commenting on EVERYTHING (I have no idea where she gets this!) For the most part this is great, however I have started to run into the problem of how to react when she says things that she probably shouldn't. Luckily she hasn't heard any swearing to repeat yet (I am sure that ones coming!) but she does have some other funny phrases that could be taken the wrong way. Her favorite lately has been "Oh my gosh!" usually, she says something like "Oh my goooossh, mama, you gotta see this!) The problem is, because of her lack of annunciation, it sounds like my two year old is walking around saying Oh my god every few minutes. The other thing she is doing is when we are in public she has been calling me Linds when she can't get my attention. She'll say "Mama, mama,...Lindsay...LINDS!!!" Which, again, is hilarious, but I don't want to encourage it. Obviously I should try not to laugh, but do you guys think the best thing to do is ignore it so she doesn't get a reaction and lets it go? Or should I try to explain why she shouldn't say some of the things she says? (can't imagine that working!) At a loss...

man, can't imagine where that chatter box is coming from...
adeline has said "oh my gosh" a few times (totally got it from me) and i just tried not to draw too much attention to it, but also told her that mama shouldn't have said it and so we'll try to not say it together. but, of course, mama has said it about 3 times since then! i'm the one who needs the soap in my mouth. adeline is now correcting me!
btw, i definitely was NOT suggesting soap in the mouth!
LOL....LINDS!!! So it went from "mama" (said in a growl) to mama (oh so sweetly) to Linds....hilarious! I love you, Gracie!!!!
I think oh my gosh is fine...and cute. Which is good, b/c Bryan's grandma and dad have been teaching and re-teaching Dallas how to say it. ;) She also taught him "mine!" a long time ago... Bryan must've been a real pain so we're getting pay back!
